Much better than simple track profiles, you'll see on my Klein Speed Points Report the win percentages and ROI's for each running style in one turn and two turn races at each track, and more importantly, THE NAMES OF THE HORSES RUNNING EACH DAY WHO ARE MOST LIKELY TO FIT INTO EACH GROUP!
“The Power of Early Speed,” was published in December of 2005.
The original idea behind the book was to find the strongest speed biases by searching through a number of tracks, and benefit from them by finding the horse or horses in each race who had the most early speed.
The Klein Speed Points method is an excellent way to sort through each horse in each race to find the most probable leader. For reasons listed in the book, it represented a significant advance from the technique most sophisticated fans had used previously, the Quirin Speed Points.
When I wrote “The Power of Early Speed,” I wanted the Klein Speed Points to be as powerful as possible while still being simple enough to be figured with a pencil, paper, and a pocket calculator during the time between races at the track.
Some fans performed the calculations that way, and enjoyed good success as a result. Others understood and appreciated the value of the Klein Speed Points, but were math-phobic, and resorted to trying to estimate the numbers without actually crunching the numbers. Some succeeded, while others weren’t as sharp at making the right estimations.
At that point I realized that it would be much better if I created a web site that would do all of the math for fans who wanted access to the Klein Speed Points, and applied those numbers to the races offered at an assortment of major tracks each day.
The cool thing is that once I finished writing the book I was able to find the time to experiment with variations on the original Klein Speed Points formula. The one in the book is version 1.0. Since then I have made it even better by moving through two subsequent generations of significant improvements. The Klein Speed Points version 3.0 used on powerofearlyspeed.com is the best one I have.
Don’t bother asking me about the details of the improvements because the formula is strictly proprietary. The formula will not be offered for sale, nor will it be discussed in any detail. Just know that it is superior to the one offered in the book, and to anything else I have seen or heard of.
By the way, if I ever find a way to top it, you will find the most current version applied to the Klein Speed Points sold on this web site.
